A drunk Sacramento cop ran over this 13-year-old boy, killing him, and fled the scene. The cop got 2.5 to 5 years.

This woman never got a chance to drink legally. She was walking home on Route 9 in Boulder Creek, California on 14 May 2007 when she got hit. The suspect is 40, tested 0.20%, was driving on a suspended license, already had two DWI convictions, and allegedly crashed into a guard rail several times before hitting her. But at least she wasn’t drinking under age.

This woman never got a chance to drink legally. She was on her Yamaha motorcycle headed north on Highway 1 about 10 km south of Half Moon Bay at 18:00 on 1 October 2005, when a Ford Ranger pickup truck drifted across the center line and hit her head-on. The driver, 47, fled the scene. He was charged with five felonies, including second-degree murder and vehicular manslaughter under the influence of drugs.

This woman never got a chance to drink legally in California. The driver who allegedly crossed onto the wrong side and killed her at age 18 on 27 March 2007 faces felony charges including drunk driving (0.16%). He is 63 years old.
